Chandelier installation

Some chandeliers are more difficult to install than others. This beautiful chandelier had over 60lbs of crystals that needed to be hung after the unit was hung from the ceiling! Wow! We installed two of these in the dining room of this beautiful Temecula home. The other factor that made it more difficult to install these chandeliers was that the ceilings were 12' high! The trick to getting any chandelier installed is to determine the height you want the bottom of the chandelier to be off the ground, and then setup the chain and electrical wires. And then, if it's included on your unit, connect the back up safety cable (which is usually only found on heavy units).
After you setup the drop length of all the upper chain, wires etc you can wire the electrical @ the ceiling outlet box. Make sure to feed all your wires and chain thru your lights collar before you hang the unit! Otherwise you will have to take it back down to hide all the wires in the outlet box.
